From our model:
1. If you could change one thing about the fitness industry as a whole, what would it be?
If I could change one thing about the fitness industry it would be its obsession with appearance. Fitness is SO MUCH MORE than trying to fit a mold or look a certain way. Fitness can provide you more freedom- helping improve mobility and strength. Fitness can be fun and engaging- bringing people together for group classes, activity, and in some cases healing. Fitness can make you feel powerful & strong, it can improve your posture, make you stand a little taller and make you feel proud. We all possess a gorgeous beach body just as it is! We shouldn't be made to feel we can't have all those other things just because we don't look a certain way.
2. Your ideal weekend includes what?
My ideal weekend would be a nice 75 degrees with a cool breeze. It would involve having the windows and doors open, enjoying an iced tea while watching movies and chit chatting with friends.
3. What's something that you're proud of?
I'm very proud of being the first person in my family to go to 4 year university. It was uncharted territory for my family so I had to rely a lot on myself to overcome certain struggles. To afford university I needed grants, which in turn meant maintaining certain GPAs, pushing me much harder academically then I would have imagined. All of that helped me learn that education is such a gift and a privilege. It's something I cherish deeply and am proud to have earned.
